Visual Poetry for the 21st Century

8 pm
National Poetry Library, Level 5, Blue side, Royal Festival Hall

German and British concrete poets come together to present new work celebrating the influence of the concrete poetry movement of the 1950s and 1960s on a new generation.

The evening features performances from German poets Angelika Janz and Benedikt Kuhn alongside UK visual poets Kimberly Campanello, Barrie Tullett, Robert Montgomery, Victoria Bean and SJ Fowler.

The evening will be opened by short solo readings by European poets attending the European Poetry Festival, with performances by Landa Wo (France), Raphael Urweider (Switzerland), Madalina Zaharia (Romania), Daniel Kramb (Germany) and Ana Brnardic (Croatia).

Uncover the textual, visual and kinetic potential of poetry with some of Europe's most innovative and brilliant poet-performers, poet-artists and poet-collaborators.

This event is part of European Poetry Festival 2020 and follows a dedicated festival in Munich's Lyrik Kabinett.
