Debate on Europe – St. Petersburg

Russia in Europe – Russia and Europe? Neighborhood in Europe – Perspectives for a Common Future

Since the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis, political relations between Europe and Russia have been profoundly disrupted. Are there any paths out of this impasse? How do intellectuals from different European countries view their relationship with Russia? How do their Russian colleagues see their country’s position in the pan-European context?

The conference in St. Petersburg aims to provide a platform to discuss the forms and perspectives of neighbourhood between Europe and Russia.

The St. Petersburg Debate is the ninth conference in the series of Debates on Europe organised jointly by the S. Fischer Foundation and the Allianz Cultural Foundation. In cooperation with: Anna Achmatowa Museum, Otkritaja Biblioteka, Goethe Institute St. Petersburg, Centre for German and European Studies, the OSTEUROPA magazine.
