Irmgard Keun’s novels made her the literary star of the late Weimar Republic. Her stories about everyday life under the Nazis and life in exile became classics. In the post-war period she again unleased her satirical energy as a biting critic of the times.
Now her work is available for the first time in a critical edition, edited and commented by Heinrich Detering and Beate Kennedy. With an essay by Ursula Krechel.
