Book Premiere In Berlin: Irmgard Keun Collected Works

With Heinrich Detering and Ursula Krechel. Reading: Nina Kunzendorf

Berlin, Literaturhaus Kaminzimmer Fasanenstraße 23

Irmgard Keun’s novels made her the literary star of the late Weimar Republic. Her stories about everyday life under the Nazis and life in exile became classics. In the post-war period she again unleased her satirical energy as a biting critic of the times.

Now her work is available for the first time in a critical edition, edited and commented by Heinrich Detering and Beate Kennedy. With an essay by Ursula Krechel.
