Petr Borkovec
(* 1970) is a Czech poet, prose writer, translator and dramaturgist of Fra literary café in Prague. For his work he was awarded amongst others the Hubert Burda Prize. He held the 5th Poetry Lectureship on "Literature in Central Europe" in Dresden and was a fellow of the DAAD Berlin Artists' Program. He translated the poems of Vladislav Chodasevich, Vladimir Nabokov, Yevgeniy Rejn, Joseph Brodsky, etc. He also translated dramas by Sophocles and Aischylos. (Czech Republic)
Claire Genoux
(* 1971) has published several volumes of poetry, including „Saisons du corps” (1999), for which she won the Prix de poésie C.-F. Ramuz. For „Orpheline” (2016) she was awarded a scholarship from the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia. She has published two novels, most recently „Lynx“ (2018), and teaches at the Swiss Literature Institute in Biel. (Switzerland)
Federico Italiano
(* 1976 in Italy) is a poet, translator, publisher, essayist, literary critic and editor. He works as senior researcher at the Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften in Vienna and teaches general and comparative literature at the University of Munich (LMU). Together with his German colleague Jan Wagner, he is editor of the anthology GRAND TOUR. A VOYAGE THROUGH THE YOUNG EUROPEAN POETRY (2019). (Italy)
Frances Leviston
(+ 1982) has published two collections of poetry: “Public Dream” (2007), shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot Prize, and “Disinformation” (2015), shortlisted for the International Dylan Thomas Award. She lectures in Creative Writing at the University of Manchester. (Scotland)
Aleš Šteger
(* 1973) has published numerous poetry, essay and prose volumes. He has received important international awards such as the Horst Bienek Prize (2016) and the Best Translated Book of the Year Award in the United States (2011). He is a member of the Academy of Arts, Berlin, and the German Academy of Language and Literature. His last publication in English is ABSOLUTION (Istros Books, 2018). (Slovenia)
Jan Wagner
(* 1971) is a poet, translator of English poetry, essayist and critic. He received numerous scholarships and awards for his work, most recently the Georg Büchner Prize (2017). Together with his Italian colleague Federico Italiano, he is editor of the anthology GRAND TOUR. A VOYAGE THROUGH THE YOUNG EUROPEAN POETRY (2019). Jan Wagner is a member of the Deutsche Akademie für Sprache und Dichtung and other academies and lives in Berlin. (Germany)
